The Teaching of Hazrat Inayat Khan

Seeing how man's selfishness is torturing the world, the greatest need is to understand that no one is better than anyone else, and that no one can rightly think or imagine he can be better than anyone else, or more helpful to children or family or surroundings until this one thing is achieved: the suppression of ego, of selfishness. Do we not fight with one another unjustly, all became of vanity? We say "That is my thought; that is mine." "Me" is such that everything but "me" is wrong; what I have, no one shall touch. This is the one thing against which all religious teachers preach.
