The same respect is paid to the Buddhist sage as to the Hindu sage, for he has renounced the world just like the Vairagi or the Saint. His life is devoted to teaching people good morals and to making their lives happy. Buddhists hold great celebrations all through the country to commemorate their sages. They never consider them as dead; they are so sure they have gone on to a new and better life. And this is most certainly true.
