Harmony in Contrast
In music the law of harmony is that the nearest note does not make a consonant interval. This explains the prohibition of marriage between close relatives because of the nearness in merit and blood.
As a rule, harmony lies in contrast. Men fight with men and women quarrel with women, but the male and the female are as a rule harmonious with each other and a complete oneness makes a perfect harmony.
